Summary:
|
Poverty, lack of knowledge, migration, gender inequality, popular beliefs, stigma and discrimination and political instability are factors that significantly contribute to the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Haiti. To a large extent the country's response is donor-led; non-governmental organisations and people living with HIV/AIDS often feel left out of national decision-making processes. |
