 Malawi - one of the poorest countries in the world - has an estimated HIV prevalence rate of 14.4 per cent (2003). Civil society organisations would like to see a simplified process to apply for, and access, funds available for HIV/AIDS. Information and communication activities need to address stigma, discrimination and lack of knowledge around HIV/AIDS. |
