To fill the information gap on HIV/AIDS in Portuguese-speaking Africa, PlusNews has launched a new service specialising in HIV/AIDS in the five Lusaphone countries of Africa.
The goal of the service is to be the Portuguese-language reference point for HIV/AIDS in Angola, Cabo Verde, Guinea Bissau, Mozambique and Sao Tome and Principe, with links to Brazil, Portugal, and the African Diaspora in the European Union and elsewhere.
Like its sister services PlusNews English and French, PlusNews Portuguese produces original stories through a network of stringers based in the capital and provinces of their countries. We report on the latest medical and cultural research, government, donor and NGO activity, the voices of people living with HIV, gender, governance, and the broad spectrum of issues that interact with HIV and AIDS.
The website features job vacancies, conferences, events, studies and training tools. Subscribing is easy and can be done online. You can choose a daily or weekly format. |
