In addition to the press conference in Geneva, Switzerland, WHO and UNAIDS will today also hold a press conference in Dakar, Senegal, highlighting progress made in scaling up treatment in the country.
More than 4400 people, or almost half of all people in need, are now receiving lifesaving antiretroviral treatment (ART) in Senegal, nearly three times the number in June 2004, when only 1 600 people were on treatment. |
